Beauty and the Beast Jr:

Auditions: Sept 9 (9am – 11am) and Sept 11 (4:15pm – 6:15pm)

Rehearsals: September 25 thru December 18 (no rehearsal Nov 20 & 25)

Monday 4:15pm – 6:15pm and Saturday 9:00am – 11:00am

Final Rehearsals & Performances – January 2018 (dates to be announced)

Ages 8-18

Join us for a “Tale as old as time”. Students will be cast in this magical Disney spectacular and will work with professionals to stage their own performance of Beauty and the Beast on our main stage with the set for our professional production. Performances in January 2018 will be a ticketed event. Each student will receive 2 complimentary tickets. All other tickets will be $15 per person (pre-purchase) or $20 per person (purchase at the door).

High School Theatre Teacher Intensive:

Monday 6:30pm – 7:30pm

September 18 thru October 23

Are you a high school theatre teacher? Would you like to learn how to do things easier, cheaper, and faster? Join us for this one night a week – 6 week long class where you will learn from professionals. Each session will be spent in the following areas: Set Design/Build, Props, Costumes, Lights, Sound, and Directing.

Taught by: Pat Payne (including selected industry professional specialists)

Fee: $225

Introduction to Musical Theatre Dance (ages 8-10):

Tuesday 4:15pm – 5:15pm    (Aspen Room)

September 12 thru October 30

A beginner class for students interested in Musical Theatre. A variety of dance styles (Fosse, Bennett, etc) will be taught to give the student a basic understanding and introduction of Musical Theatre dance. The class will conclude with a public presentation of combinations learned during the course of the class for friends and family.

Intermediate Musical Theatre Dance (ages 11-13):

Tuesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm    (Aspen Room)

September 12 thru October 30

Whether you are just getting started, or continuing on with your dance education, this class is for students interested in Musical Theatre dance styles (Fosse, Bennett, etc) The class will conclude with a public presentation of combinations learned during the course of the class for friends and family.

Advanced Musical Theatre Dance (ages 14-18):

Tuesday 6:45pm – 7:45pm    (Aspen Room)

September 12 thru October 30

Although this class is geared towards an older group, all levels of dance experience are welcome to come and learn various styles and techniques of Musical Theatre Dance. Come learn combinations from shows like Newsies, Hamilton and In the Heights. The class will conclude with a public presentation of combinations learned during the course of the class for friends and family.

Beginning Tap (ages 8-10):

Wednesday 4:15pm – 5:15pm    (Aspen Room)

September 13 thru October 30

This is an introduction to tap, focusing on the fundamental foot work and techniques of tap dancing and rhythm. The class will conclude with a public presentation of combinations learned during the course of the class for friends and family.

Tap 1 (Ages 11-13):

Wednesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm    (Aspen Room)

September 13 thru October 30

This class helps students gain confidence and grow as young artists. They will receive the skills necessary to follow stage directions, articulate clearly, listen, react in the moment, create a character and more. The class will culminate with a performance that will take place at the last class open to family and friends!

Acting 2 / Improv (Ages 14-18):

Tuesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm    (Columbine Room)

September 12 thru October 30

This class is designed to advance study in character development, acting methods and scene study. Students also expand valuable life skills such as ensemble building, self-confidence, problem solving, and personal responsibility. Classes provide an atmosphere that encourages fun, commitment, and taking risks in a safe environment. The class will culminate with a performance that will take place at the last class open to family and friends!

Show Choir (ages 8-10):

Tuesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm    (Longs Peak Suite)

September 12 thru October 30

No show choir experience is required to register!  By working with professionals, you can develop greater musicianship, proper use of breath support, phrasing, interpretation, postures, stage presence, and the other disciplines needed in a show choir. The class will conclude with a public presentation of songs learned during the course of the class for friends and family.

A Capella (Ages 14-18):

Do you love Pitch Perfect? In this class students will learn the basics of a cappella from the pros in a comfortable setting. Not only will students see an increase in performance skills and musicality, but also in self-confidence, presence, and the ability to work as part of a team. This is a great class for beginning singers as well as those with some experience! The class will conclude with a public presentation of songs learned during the course of the class for friends and family.

Play Making (Ages 11-13):

Wednesday 4:15pm – 5:15pm    (Columbine Room)

September 13 thru October 30

This playmaking class is designed for students with or without experience in the theater. Learn the skills to take a basic idea and spin it into a well organized plot with beginning, middle and end. The ultimate goal is for you to gain the knowledge and support to create and cast a one act play. The class will culminate with a performance that will take place at the last class open to family and friends!

So You Want to Be A Director (ages 14-18):

Are you interested in becoming a Director? Learn from professional directors on how to analyze a script, define a concept, work with designers, rehearsal schedules, tech rehearsals and all the way through opening night.

Mastering Your Musical Theatre Audition (Ages 14-18):

Wednesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm    (Longs Peak Suite)

September 13 thru October 30

This class will focus on building a musical theatre audition package – putting together a resume, how to “work” the audition, short monologue preparation, cold-readings, working with an accompanist, and acting a song. In addition you will learn from Directors/ Choreographers and Music Directors about what really happens in the audition room and what they are looking for when casting a show. Participants should have some music theatre experience prior to taking this class. Perfect class for college prep auditions and anyone interested in auditioning for Musical Theatre.
